Hast thou no scar?
No hidden scar on foot, or side, or hand?
I hear thee sung as mighty in the land;
I hear them hail thy bright, ascendant star.
Hast thou no scar?
Hast thou no wound?
Yet I was wounded by the archers; spent,
Leaned Me against a tree to die; and rent
By ravening beasts that compassed Me, I swooned.
Hast thou no wound?
No wound? No scar?
Yet, as the Master shall the servant be,
And piercèd are the feet that follow Me.
But thine are whole; can he have followed far
Who hast no wound or scar?

21st century religion in a nut shell: this is what demarks the visible & invisible body of Christ today. We are saturated by bloodless & gutless sermons that doesn't challenge our culture but pacifies it. "We who follow the Master from so far."
would be a true measure of our faith, of our love for the Master
The blessed truth is that we don’t present our wounds or scars to God to make ourselves acceptable, but we count and focus upon the scars, and wounds of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ! By his stripes, we are healed! The thing left for me is to rejoice, being raised from my lonely estate and being made a child of the king through no effort or goodness on my part. As Paul wrote, having been raised with Christ, let us seek those things which are above where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Let us set our minds on things above, but not the things of the Earth. For we died in our lives are hidden with Christ in God, and when Christ who is our life appears then we also will appear with him in Glory.
