• “Prayer means lovingly contemplating the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, allowing our hearts to be enkindled to praise and adore the love and omnipotence of the most blessed Trinity.” – Basilea Schlink

Calm Where? by Michelle

More of Christ

less of me.

This is

my honest plea.

The more I grow

the more I see

that the Sea of Galilee

can take over me

if the fret and the fear

I revere.

What is your priority?

Calm in the Sea,

or

Calm in the Soul?

Which do you prefer?

Trouble with Him

or

Trouble in the World?

“But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.” Isaiah 57:20

To have our eye own on the storm, is to be in the world and an enemy with God because of unbelief.

Do you see how the two conflict? We cannot have both.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”  John16:33

  • “We say, then, to anyone who is under trial, give Him time to steep the soul in His eternal truth. Go into the open air, look up into the depths of the sky, or out upon the wideness of the sea, or on the strength of the hills that is His also; or, if bound in the body, go forth in the spirit; spirit is not bound. Give Him time and, as surely as dawn follows night, there will break upon the heart a sense of certainty that cannot be shaken.” – Amy Carmichael

Verse of the Day

[Christ in Our Place] For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. — Romans 5:6-8 (NKJV)
