• “Every delay in the answers to our prayers is also planned by God to give us something better than what we asked for.” – Annie Poonen

Joni Earekson Tada

A diving accident in 1967 left Joni Eareckson Tada a quadriplegic in a wheelchair. Today she shares around the world her life story and how she has struggled with accepting God’s plan for her life.

“One of the most wonderful things about knowing God is that there’s always so much more to know, so much more to discover. Just when we least expect it, He intrudes into our neat and tidy notions about who He is and how He works.” – Joni Eareckson Tada

“For a wheelchair may confine a body that is wasting away. But no wheelchair can confine the soul . . . the soul that is inwardly renewed day by day.”

  • “I think of the love of God as a great river, pouring through us even as the waters pour through our ravine at floodtime. Nothing can keep this love from pouring through us, except of course our own blocking of the river. Do you sometimes feel that you have got to the end of your love for someone who refuses and repulses you? Such a thought is folly, for one cannot come to the end of what one has not got. We have no store of love at all. We are not jugs, we are riverbeds.” – Amy Carmichael
