• “Many do not recognize the fact as they ought, that Satan has got men fast asleep in sin and that it is his great device to keep them so. He does not care what we do if he can do that. We may sing songs about the sweet by and by, preach sermons and say prayers until doomsday, and he will never concern himself about us, if we don’t wake anybody up. But if we awake the sleeping sinner he will gnash on us with his teeth. This is our work – to wake people up.” – Catherine Booth

Having been raised in Bethlehem I have a special appreciation for the Moravians. Their story is one of incredible faith and courage. The book mentioned, "Moravian Women's Memoirs" is excellent. It is one I read and re-read using portions as my devotions. And a Moravian Lovefeast is one of the most beautiful worship celebrations that you can attend. If a church near you ever holds one you would be blessed by attending I know. Thanks for including these wonderful women on this site.

Verse of the Day

[Meditate on These Things] Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. — Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)
