• “I don’t really mind if you sing ‘Let His Glory Fall’ in church…but I think His glory will fall if you’ll go out with nothing except a broken heart, and precious seed.” – Jackie Pullinger

March 23 – Daily Strength for Daily Needs

Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest.–3 JOHN 5.
And this also we wish, even your perfection.–2 COR. xiii. 9.

In all the little things of life, Thyself, Lord, may I see; In little and in great alike Reveal Thy love to me.
So shall my undivided life To Thee, my God, be given; And all this earthly course below Be one dear path to heaven.
H. BONAR.
In order to mould thee into entire conformity to His will, He must have thee pliable in His hands, and this pliability is more quickly reached by yielding in the little things than even by the greater. Thy one great desire is to follow Him fully; canst thou not say then a continual “yes” to all His sweet commands, whether small or great, and trust Him to lead thee by the shortest road to thy fullest blessedness?
H. W. SMITH.
With meekness, humility, and diligence, apply yourself to the duties of your condition. They are the seemingly little things which make no noise that do the business.
HENRY MORE.

  • “I think of the love of God as a great river, pouring through us even as the waters pour through our ravine at floodtime. Nothing can keep this love from pouring through us, except of course our own blocking of the river. Do you sometimes feel that you have got to the end of your love for someone who refuses and repulses you? Such a thought is folly, for one cannot come to the end of what one has not got. We have no store of love at all. We are not jugs, we are riverbeds.” – Amy Carmichael

Verse of the Day

Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain. — Philippians 2:14-16 (NKJV)
