• “Noble, breathtaking, captivating, Christ-centered femininity is…a beauty that does not draw attention to the woman but to Jesus…it’s a loveliness that flows from deep within–the refreshing beauty of heaven, of a life transformed from the inside out by Jesus Christ” – Leslie Ludy

The Spirit Intercedes by Nancy Leigh DeMoss 10/10/11

“When I sit down to pray, my mind just goes blank! I know there are things that I need to be praying for, but I can never remember what.”

Nancy Leigh DeMoss: I think we’ve all been there. Even the apostle Paul said, “We do not know how to pray as we ought.” He realized that he needed help in knowing how to pray according to the will of God. But he also realized that God had met that need by giving the Holy Spirit.

So Paul wrote, “The Spirit helps us in our weakness. . . . [He] intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.”

“Holy Spirit, I don’t know the will of the Father in this area. I don’t know what to pray. But the Bible says that You’ll help me in my weakness and that You’re going to intercede for me. Would You please do that now?”

With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy Leigh DeMoss.

  • “What is the secret to great living? Entire separation to Christ and devotion to Him. Thus speaks every man and woman whose life has made more than a passing flicker in the spiritual realm. It is the life that has no time for trifling that counts.” – Amy Carmichael

Verse of the Day

And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.” — John 10:28-30 (NKJV)
